Returns & Refunds Policy

We really want you to be pleased with your painting kit, but we know that sometimes things don't go as planned. Since we’re a small shop working out of our home in Bristol, we handle every return personally to ensure it’s fair for everyone.

The 30-Day Window

If you change your mind, you have 30 days from the day your order arrives to send it back to us. After 30 days, unfortunately, we can’t offer a refund or exchange.

Can I return my kit?

We can only accept returns for these kits if they include acrylic paints that can dry out once opened:

• The canvas is brand new and unpainted.
• All paint pots are still sealed. We can't take back a kit if the paint lids have been popped open.
• Everything is still in its original packaging.

How to start a return

Just send a quick email to contact@velvetbrushes.com with your order number. We’ll give you the address to our studio in Bristol so you can ship it back.

A quick heads-up: Since we are a tiny business, you’ll need to cover the return shipping costs yourself. We suggest using a service with tracking, just to be safe.

If your kit arrives damaged

If the mail carrier was a bit too rough and your kit arrives damaged or something is missing, please let us know right away! Please take a photo and email it to us. We will ensure you receive a replacement promptly at no extra cost to you.

Getting your money back

Once we get your return and check that the paints are still sealed, we’ll send you an email. Your refund will go straight back to your PayPal account within about 3 to 5 business days.
