Returns & Refunds Policy
We really hope you love your new painting kit from Velvet Brushes. But hey, we get it; sometimes things just don't work out. Since we’re a small team hand-packing every order in our Bristol studio, we handle all our returns personally to make sure everything stays fair and transparent for you.
The 30-Day Window
You have 30 days from the moment your kit lands on your doorstep to decide if you want to keep it. If 30 days have flown by, we unfortunately can't offer a refund or a swap.
Is my kit eligible for a return?
Because our kits come with acrylic paints that can dry out if they aren't sealed tight, we have a few simple rules for returns:
- The canvas must be untouched no paint or markings at all.
- All paint pots must still have their original seals. We can't take a kit back if the lids have been opened.
- Everything needs to be tucked back into the original packaging.
How to get started
Just drop us a quick line at contact@velvetbrushes.com with your order number. We’ll send over the exact shipping address for our Bristol, PA studio so you can get it back to us.
One little reminder: Since we’re a tiny independent business, you’ll be responsible for covering the return shipping costs. We always recommend using a service with tracking; it’s the best way to make sure your return doesn't get lost in the mail.
If your kit arrives damaged
If the delivery service was a little too rough and your kit shows up damaged or missing a piece, let us know immediately! Please capture a quick photo of the issue and email it to us at contact@velvetbrushes.com. We’ll make it right by sending out a replacement at zero extra cost to you.
Getting your money back
Once we receive your return and confirm that the paints remain sealed, we will send you an email. Your refund will be processed automatically back to your original payment method, whether you used a Credit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal. Most banks take about 3 to 5 business days to show the credit on your account.
